This large blue and green crystalline glazed vase stands over 13 inches tall and is about 10 inches at the widest point. It was hand thrown on the potters wheel using a mixture of stoneware and porcelain clay before being fired twice, the second time with a crystalline glaze of my own individual recipe. Crystalline glazes are fired to over 1280 degrees centigrade before being cooled slowly over several hours. It is a difficult and unpredictable type of glazing but when it works it can produce stunning pieces of ceramic art like this vase. This vase is entirely unique being a one off creation as I never make the same shape and glaze over and over again. Instead I produce a few completely individual pieces so you can be sure this is the only one of its kind. 
This vase is a stunning piece of crystalline ceramics which would make a superb centre piece in any room. Thank you for reading.
