This sinuous narrow necked vase stands about 8 inches tall and is nearly 5 inches at the widest point. It was glazed with a crystalline glaze of my own creation, with clearly defined dark blue crystals on a greyish background. The vase was thrown on the potters wheel using 4 pounds of porcelain clay, before being trimmed when leather hard then allowed to dry over several days. When dry the piece was fired twice, the second time to a temperature of 1280 degrees centigrade. The result is the unique vase you can see in the photographs.
This would make a wonderful centre piece in any setting and is a fine example of crystalline galzed ceramics.
