This is a stunning example of crystalline ceramics which has clearly defined crystal growth in the surface of the glaze. This beautifully rounded vase was hand thrown on the potters wheel before being dried to the leather hard stage and trimmed to the shape you see here. The blue crystalline glaze is my own recipe and requires the glaze firing to reach 1280 degrees centigrade prior to a slow cooling cycle which can last up to six hours.

Crystalline pottery is difficult, time consuming and expensive to make but when a piece of this quality is produced it is worth all the time and effort. This is a genuine piece of ceramic art.
