This blue crystalline vase stands 8 inches tall and is about 8 inches wide. It was hand thrown on the potters wheel using a mixture of porcelain and stoneware clay to produce this simple elegant flower vase. The crystalline glaze is my own recipe and has formed a beautiful spread of clear flower like crystals over the entire form. 
Crystalline glazes are difficult to produce and not many potters use this type of glaze because the failure rate is high and the results are unpredictable, yet the final outcome can be truly exceptional. Every piece I make is a one off and I dont repeat the same shape over and over again, so you can be sure this is an entirely original vase.
